From the hundreds of hours of Search and Rescue training that we have completed and after numerous real world searches we have participated in, we recognized a need for an advanced Search and Rescue Team/Program to take advantage of developments in:
K9’s, Visual Trackers, SAR Management, and Computerized GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
A definitive need for Advanced Training, Team Flexibility, Highly Skilled SAR Operators.
Thus STSAR (Special Tactics Search and Rescue) was developed.
