Tracking has been around for
thousands of years, but tracking techniques have just been utilized more
since the mid 1900’s to locate missing persons. This probably has to be
attributed to the United States border patrol. They used tracking extensively
in locating illegal aliens coming across our southern border.
Tracking can and should be a
major tool in locating a missing subject. All trained searchers should be at
least track aware, but all searchers do not necessarily have to be trackers.
